Our People

Lance & Allyson Lang
Co-founders and Co-CEOs of Hope is Alive Ministries and The Healing Center, Lance and Allyson “Ally” Lang share an incredible story of love, restoration, and radical recovery.
For Lance, growing up as a pastor’s son under the watchful eye of small-town America before leading a $30 million project management firm at the age of 25 made the pressure to perform and live up to others’ expectations a way of life. As the heaviness of life’s burdens grew, he turned to drugs and alcohol to bear the weight, creating a decade-long cycle of abuse and addiction that destroyed his hope and left him in a reclusive, depressive state of popping fifty pills a day.
For Allyson, an upbringing of striving led her to found her own event planning organization that quickly become one of the most sought-after in the Oklahoma City area. In 2009, at the height of this business, Lance and Ally met and fell in love, but their quick engagement ended just as quickly when the depths of Lance’s addiction were made plain and he entered treatment. As Lance began recovering from his drug addiction and alcoholism, Ally began to realize she also needed recovery from the relationship trauma that comes with loving an addict—a journey that eventually led the two back to one another.
In early 2013, with a dream in his heart and two years of sobriety under his belt, Lance began looking at homes to start Hope is Alive, and Ally was there with him every step of the way. Theirs is a story of resilience and radical transformation, the kind of story they bring with them to The Healing Center.
The Langs are the guiding influence on The Healing Center, but they’re also guiding a curated staff, each member of which was selected for their dedication to helping people discover the radical life change that comes with deep, restorative healing. Every person working at The Healing Center understands the mission and believes to their core that freedom is available to everyone.

Connor Coney
Connor’s recovery journey started at the beginning of 2025 after a few failed attempts to get sober on his own left him feeling discouraged and hopeless. His sister discovered the state of addiction he was in, and she put her life on hold to help him. She moved in with him, spending time patiently encouraging him to accept the help he needed. The selfless love Connor was shown during this time encouraged him to work in recovery, specifically in the early stages. It was through her and the calling God placed on his heart that Connor decided to attend HIA bootcamp and ultimately joined The Healing Center. It is his mission to share the love he received in the darkest moments of his life with every resident who enters the doors of The Healing Center.
